Puppy Preschool

For Puppies 8-20 Weeks (at start of class)

Preschool Fee: $160 for 4 sessions, 1 weekly or sign up for multiple days for maximum learning.
Begin at any time: Once you purchase your package you will be brought to a scheduling window where you may select actual class dates.
Elect your 4 dates and you are good to go!

Polite Play

Puppies love to play, and we learn to do it politely! City life means plenty of play opportunities through dog parks and play dates, but good play manners are essential. Our guided play times help the puppies learn how to engage in play with others in a way that is safe and respectful. Shy puppies will be able to grow in play confidence, while boisterous, bossy puppies, will learn the benefits of cue reading and mutual engagement.

Introduction to Novelty

OMG WHATS THAT!?!?! With Bikes, Trucks, Scooters and Children EVERYWHERE, a key part of puppy socialization for the city dog is early introduction to novelty. Our instructors work with the puppies through the introduction of a variety of novel, noisy and unusual objects to help teach our puppy students to embrace novelty as something to be explored rather than feared.

Puppy Handling and Hygiene

A puppies careful, early introduction to good hygiene habits such as nail trims, teeth brushing, ear cleaning etc can be the difference between an easily maintained home ritual and a difficult process that must be performed by professionals. Our instructors will introduce common hygiene rituals in a gentle, positive way that the pups will enjoy and the owners will love!

Puppy Patience and Impulse Control

We live in an exciting place, and navigating the deluge of sight and sounds faced daily can be a challenge for pups young and old! The early introduction to puppy patience and impulse control training can help your pup learn to calm when over stimulated, wait patiently, and be polite even in the face of excitement. Puppy Preschool instructors guide puppies through phases of activity and calming practice the invaluable art of impulse control and puppy patience.

Introduction to Positive Reinforcement

While Puppy Class is MOSTLY about teaching puppies good character, we DO get a jump on early introduction to positive training techniques and exposure to some basic skills like touch, sit and down. Overall, our training time is focused on encouraging our young friends to have an enthusiastic relationship with learning new things and the confidence to try out new behaviors.
